Calling All Digbeth Street Artists and Photographers

Friction Arts invite submissions of images of Digbeth’s street art and buildings for use in their upcoming Up Against the Wall event in early November 2013.

The event is a celebration of the street art and buildings that have helped shape and define the area over the past 60 years.

Your images will be projected on The Edge, the home of Friction Arts, and surrounding buildings during an evening of discussion and live music.

We are particularly interested in images of graffiti, paste-ups, artistic interventions and local buildings, including factories, warehouses, shops, offices and homes.

We welcome images from professional and amateur photographers, street artists, and historians.

The event is inspired Friction Arts’ Heritage Lottery Funded Echoes project, which aims to explore the recent history of Digbeth and Highgate. Find out more about Echoes and the Echoes exhibition here.
